Weekend campaigning blitz by all parties

Over this weekend, the pace of campaigning is expected to quicken and be feverish as all parties have a go at each other as this is the last weekend before polling and people are expected to be busy and occupied during the weekdays.
Party leaders have packed their schedules for this weekend to crisscross the country to woo voters in the upcoming 15th General Election (GE) and it is envisaged that the sites of these campaigning is expected to have many people in the audience listening to ceramahs.
Of particular interest is the sleepy town of Tambun which has come very much alive and become the focal point of this general election as the Pakatan Harapan and Perikatan Nasional candidates are the main contenders to square off.
Pakatan Harapan Chairman, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has left his safe seat of Port Dickson to lock horns with former Perak chief minister and Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu, who will be defending his seat which was last won on a Pakatan ticket.
Other constituencies are also expected to witness a blitz in campaigning as political observers contend that this weekend is crucial for candidates and parties as they go to meeting spots within a community to canvas for votes.
Super weekend is expected to be the busiest time of the campaign with highways and airports operating at full capacity and candidates eyeing the votes of youths who are anticipated to be the kingmakers in this 15th GE.
