The ‘Keluarga Malaysia’ (Malaysian Family) travel pass that goes on sale from Dec.1 this year allows groups of four to use the LRT, MRT, monorail, and the Sunway bus rapid transit on the RapidKL network without limit on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said for just RM15 the new pass will not only encourage the usage of public transport, but will also get Malaysians to spend quality time with their loved ones.

Ismail Sabri said since the travel pass cost RM15, it means each person in a group of four only needs to pay RM3.75 to use the services operated by RapidKL all day.

He said public transportation plays an important role in the success of the Malaysian Family concept. Besides this it unites the nation and helps to generate economic growth.

Ismail Sabri said this initiative will get Malaysian families to go out with their loved ones while visiting shopping malls or places of interest found along the public transport network in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.

He said it is his belief that an efficient and well-connected public transportation network is important for the mobilisation of the Malaysian Family.
