People need to stand together, not fall prey to politicians segregation

The recent debacle about the whiskey branding of Timah has showed the endless tale of politicians baiting naïve citizens into further racial segregation.
Recently political party PAS had accused a liquor company that the label ‘Timah’ will confuse Muslims that the non-halal product is permitted to be drank. The issue has created a division between the races fueled by politicians.
But Malaysians are realising that there is a need to be united instead of blindly following the words of deceiving politicians.
Lotus Lily believes it a sad move to see politicians playing with race, religion and minor issues, enough to trigger particular groups of people.
“All these years since 1957, we enjoyed so much in our homeland of Malaysia. But those trouble makers spoiled all the goodness and goodwill in our Negaraku,” she said.
Leonardo Chin claimed that the Timah controversy is a distraction from real issues like the economy and corruption cases.
He also said that there is hypocrisy if the Malays are offended over the name Timah.
Indonesia, a Muslim majority nation, uses the word ‘timah’ as well but they do not make a nonsensical issue out of it.
To Leonardo it confirms his suspicions that politicians are preying on racial and religious issues.
