People appalled by Malaysian celebrity for joking about rape
A local celebrity has angered people for making unpleasant comments during a talk show about a rape scene he had filmed.
Fauzi Nawawi in a viral video on TikTok mentioned that robbery and rape are among the scenes he loves filming.
Drawing back to a movie that premiered in 2007 titled Anak Halal, he proudly said, “In the scene, I raped Raja Farah.”
He continued to explain the behind-the-scenes in a repugnant manner, admitting that he had to control his lust for the actress.
In outrage, the people have brought up their displeasure against the host and guest that made rape a light issue.
All Women’s Action Society (AWAM) had released a statement that they are disappointed in the approach of the five people in the local media industry.
The NGO said, “They are talking about performing rape like it’s a kink. Rape is not a joke!”
Pauline Mumford was also not happy with the topic and was nauseated after watching the video.
She claimed she almost vomited watching the video as the descriptions were vivid.
“There is too much description to the extent that it is disgusting towards the actress. I wonder how the actress takes this. She should not have to go through such an act in the first place,” she added.
Actress Raja Farah Aziz had broken her silence and stated that it is ‘wrong at all levels’.
She reminded that his statements were disrespectful towards women, especially since the woman is already married.
