PM’s brother forms new party but Syed Saddiq still unable to
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s brother, Kamarazaman Yaakob, has launched his political party, Parti Kuasa Rakyat, amidst Syed Saddiq’s struggle to do so similarly.
Ismail Sabri said that it is his brother’s right to set up his base as it is democratic and there is no quarrel about it.
But while it has been an easy passage for the PM’s brother, it’s not quite the same for Syed Saddiq, a politician familiar among the youths.
The Muar MP has been battling for over a year to establish Muda as a party for the younger generation but faced numerous issues and rejection.
Despite the young advocates pioneering the Muda group with their intellect and fitting morals, the government is seemingly delaying the approval for political purposes.
Tan Chai Kee believes that if a new party is formed, it has to be a reliable one so the people would worry less.
However, with the number of parties currently available, none show sights of innovation or any progressive mentality.
“Muda could have been the party to be progressive for the nation. Why are you holding them back?” he added.
Razali Ahmad questioned why was the approval of Parti Kuasa Rakyat quicker than Muda.
“Only your brother can get his party registered immediately. Is it because he is your ‘Keluarga’?” he said.
Parti Kuasa Rakyat was launched on October 10 and has been urging policies like free education, free housing and more job opportunities for B40 and M40 groups.
