MR D.I.Y. Distributes Essential PPEs To 32 Services In Sabah And Sarawak

MR D.I.Y. Group recently channeled essential personal protective equipment (PPEs) to 32 healthcare services centres across Sabah and Sarawak. The initiative, which began on October 8, 2021, was a collaboration with the Malaysia Relief Agency (MRA) and is part of the Group’s continuing efforts to support frontliners in Sabah and Sarawak.
The PPEs were transported by the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), with MRA coordinating the distribution of the supplies to district health clinics and hospitals, as well as quarantine, screening, and vaccination centres across the two states. In August this year, the retailer and association collaborated to distribute essential PPEs to 136 healthcare and emergency services across Peninsular Malaysia.

Commenting on this latest initiative, MR D.I.Y. Group (M) Berhad’s Chief Executive
Officer Adrian Ong said, “As a socially-responsible homegrown retailer we want to support our country in meaningful ways. One of the ways we can do this effectively is to leverage our direct relationships with local and global manufacturers, international logistics partners, and our in-house nationwide delivery network. We then partner with organisations such as MRA to ensure the supplies reach those who need them the most.”
“The supply of PPEs to Sabah and Sarawak is a continuation of our earlier effort to support frontliners. Our thanks to the Royal Malaysian Air Force who transported the supplies safely to Sabah and Sarawak and MRA, who worked very closely with our team to identify the beneficiaries, and to facilitate the distribution. We couldn’t have done it without their help and support,” added Ong.
