Rapper Tyga Taken Into Custody Over Domestic Violence Investigation
American rapper Tyga was arrested on the morning of October 12th, Tuesday, by the Los Angeles Police Department under suspicions of domestic violence charges following a picture his ex-partner Camaryn Swanson posted on her Instagram Story a day before of a black eye she allegedly received from the rapper due to his abuse.
He was released later that afternoon after posting USD$ 50,000 bail with a court date scheduled for February 8th 2022.
Tyga, whose real name is Micheal Ray Nguyen-Stevenson, was said to have turned himself in to the Los Angeles police after the release of the photo where Swanson said she was ‘emotionally, mentally and physically abused’ and ‘not hiding it anymore.’
“I’m so embarrassed and ashamed it had to get to this but I have to stand up for myself.”
The 22-year-old also shared screenshots of her conversation with the rapper when questioned about showing up his house uninvited adding, “I didn’t show up ‘screaming’ or uninvited. When I tried to leave he physically assaulted [me] and refused to let me leave for hours.”
