Malaysian Indian wins Women of the Future Award 2021
Nandini Balakrishnan has earned the praised of Malaysians after she was announced the winner of Women of the Future Award 2021.
The award, sponsored by the Financial Times, is given to female leaders who challenge stereotypes, break boundaries, and drive positive change with courage, hard work, and determination.
The SAYS lead video producer won based on her work in tackling topics of discrimination, feminism, and other hard-hitting societal issues Malaysians could not hold back their job as they congratulated Nandini for the huge achievement.
Sharon Lai looks up to her as she is a breath of fresh air who possess boldness and well-articulated thoughts.
“She dares to make a difference. Well done and keep it up, Nandini! So proud of you,” she said.
Henry Sauriamuthu claimed that the Nandini is his favourite human right analysis and hopes that she keeps on educating Malaysians.
The Sabahan, believes that there needs to be more leaders who are willing to fight back racism and prejudices, especially against Indians.
Nandini on social media wrote, “Thank you, Women of the Future! At a time when truth is silenced and shunned, being recognised for the work I do is really reassuring and motivating.”
