Malaysians have poured out their consolation to the victims of the Kampung Baru Cina in Karak as they have lost their homes and belongings in a fire.
The raging fire had destroyed about 48 houses and eight shops.
According to the Pahang Fire and Rescue Department Director Wan Mohammad Zaidi Wan Isa, the huge fire spread quickly due to the houses being in close proximity.
Malaysians in their nature had posted their consolation on social media to grief with them.
Kiren Gill said it is such a tragic event and more awareness needs to be raised to get the victims the support they need.
She said through Uncle Kentang she will help them and wish blessing and support upon them.
Feuerrm Sebastiana shared that Uncle Kentang is running a 1 person RM 10 donation campaign to help out the victims. Many thanked her for sharing the word and intent to help out the donation drive.
Wong Loke Keng who was saddened by the incident said, “It’s so hard to watch the news about this. I’ll help chip in what I can afford. He added that he hopes that the victims will stay strong.”
Currently, the donation has raised more than RM 690,000 and will run for the next 28 days.
The public hopes that other NGOs and government representatives would come to add additional aid.
