National mobile app in the works
According to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), a national mobile application which will be an all-in-one platform to access different digital services will be developed.
The Malaysian government through the National Council of Digital Economy and Fourth Industrial Revolution or MED4IR has approved a proposal to implement the platform in principle early this year.
The platform will allow users to experience a seamless digital experience and will be a one-stop centre to manage the needs of the users through an application that offers ease of use, versatility, dynamic features and a number of digital services.
Activities such as accessing government digital services, selected private services, bill payments, traffic summonses, renewals of driving licenses and road tax, birth and marriage registrations and other functions can be done without commuting to a location.
A survey is being conducted among the general public on the proposed concept of the national mobile application.
The survey will be conducted online at http://bit.ly/AppNasional for a period of three weeks from September 15 until October 6, 2021.
