King and Queen on visit to UK

The Yang Di Pertuan Agong and the Raja Permaisuri Agong are on a special visit to the United Kingdom beginning September 17, 2021 and it will end on September 27, 2021 but the royal couple will stay on in London until the third week of October.

On the itinerary for the royal couple include a visit to the Battersea Power Station. The Battersea project is a joint venture between Sime Darby Property, SP Setia Berhad, the EPF and PNB.

On September 24, the royal couple will visit the Malaysian High Commission in London for a meeting with Malaysians including entrepreneurs, academicians, students and community leaders.

The next day, their Majesties are scheduled to visit the Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre which is owned by the Malaysian Rubber Board and which is one of the leading rubber research and development institutions in the world.

The King will also receive a courtesy call by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Nicholas Carter, during which the issue of defence cooperation between Malaysia and the United Kingdom will be discussed.

The King is also scheduled to attend a reunion dinner at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst where His Majesty studied between 1978 and 1979.

On October 23, the royal couple will return to Malaysia whereby they will be quarantined for seven days as advised by the Health Ministry.

Meanwhile, in their absence from Malaysia, the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, who is the Deputy Yang Di Pertuan Agong, will be performing the functions of the King.
