Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein was a delight to Malaysians as he said he was putting an initiative to review and revise categories of individuals that currently require MyTravelPass applications.

The Defence Minister on Twitter was replying to a Malaysian who posted that she is begging the government to revise the travel pass.

Jiah Sing said, “We have been caged in from our partners and families who are in another country.”

She added that she was disheartened to see the day Malaysians get punished as they are humans who have been separated from their families and loved ones.

Hishammuddin was quick to react to the post by saying the matter was discussed in the Special Committee on Pandemic Management.

The Malaysian National Security Council and The Immigration Department of Malaysia were then instructed to reconsider the categories implemented to mitigate the issue.

The Sembrong MP said, “They have until next week to present their proposal to MKN.”

Malaysians were excited and thankful as such a move would be a pleasant one. Crystal Au, an animation student in Germany, commented that in a challenging time like this, families including unmarried couples should be supported in their efforts to reunite.

She hoped to have an exemption for all these categories.

Chéri, a Sino-Bidayuh Sarawakian, had enrolled herself in a language school to build a promising future.

She stated, “Hope to get good news on the revision for the authorities. I have submitted all the necessary documents to prove the authenticity of my travel, yet, the applications have been rejected twice.”

She ended by saying that it was important because she was not leaving for vacation but studies.
