Prime Minister to prioritise projects to benefit citizens

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that he is preparing to prioritise several people centric projects on Thursday, September 16.
After meeting with Sabah State Secretary Datuk Seri Safar Untong at Menara Kinabalu, he said the projects that are currently in mind are inclusive of schools, infrastructure and amenities.
The Bera Member of Parliament has also pledged RM 18 million to help to rebuild areas hit by flood at Kota Kinabalu and Penampang. This was part of the federal government’s contribution through the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA).
The Prime Minister was in high spirit today as he urged the people to come together for strength and maintain unity for a successful Malaysia Family.
He said that the unity of the Peninsula, Sabah and Sarawak had built a sovereign nation and one that is harmonious.
He added, “The establishment of a nation proudly proclaimed as Malaysia is the result of the achievement of Independence by the Federation of Malaya 64 years ago, followed by the formation of Malaysia six years later together with our beloved Sabah and Sarawak.”
Ismail Sabri will be attending the 54th Malaysia Day celebration at the Sabah Convention Centre tonight (September 16).
He reached the Kota Kinabalu International Airport’s Terminal 2 this morning as was greeted by the Sabah Chief Minister.
