No Deputy Prime Minister in Cabinet list

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has revealed his cabinet list, not consisting of a Deputy Prime Minister on Friday, August 27.
In his 11 a.m. speech, he stated four Senior Ministers, Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, (International Trade and Industry), Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein (Defence), Datuk Seri Fadilah Yusof (Works) and Datuk Seri Radzi Jidin (Education).
The Prime Minister reaffirmed, “The government will ensure that the new Cabinet line-up is committed to realising the national agenda through inter-party cooperation to drive the nation’s economic recovery.”
He added that to be result-oriented, three principles need to be grounded; be sensitive to current needs, responsible and trustworthy, and restore the confidence of the people.
Other notable changes to the ministerial most are Khairy Jamaluddin has been placed as the Health Minister and Dr. Adham will oversee as Science, Technology and Innovation Minister.
The Bera MP also confirmed that the swearing-in ceremony will be hosted in the Istana Negara at 2:30 p.m. on August 30, a day before the National Day.
Yesterday (Aug 26) the Prime Minister had an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to seek approval for the Cabinet.
