“God brought me here,” says Muhyiddin in a farewell video
Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin believed that God had brought him to save lives and ensure the nation had food during the pandemic.
In a farewell video released on Friday (Aug 20), the former premier shared his final words to civil servants in the Prime Minister’s Department.
Muhyiddin said, “I did what I could to save lives, and ensure the nation had food on the table. I think God brought me here for that. At the end of this journey, we see the efforts of what we have done so far.”
The Pagoh MP stated that he has never seen Malaysians in such a difficult position.
He claimed that he sent thousands of rations to his constituency as his people had no money for food. “I feel responsible as Prime Minister, but to say I am responsible for doing nothing is wrong.”
The 24-minute video was commented by more than 16,000 supporters for Muhyiddin.
His supporters were thanking him for his service, and some said he was the most respected Prime Minister.
Referenced as father, they look forward to Muhyiddin battling it out for Prime Minister in the next General Election.
