Instagram user, Esther Erin had taken the social media to share her father’s disheartening experience working as a food delivery rider on Sunday, August 7.

The post titled ‘A True Story About Grab Drivers’ spoke from the viewpoint of her father.

It was just another day of work for him as he woke up at 5 a.m. With sores on his body from an accident previously, her father preserved to ensure he can pay the monthly bills.

She stated that on a Thursday evening, the father had to miss dinner for the final delivery. The order from a Korean food restaurant was only 5 minutes to reach.

When he reached, the restaurant owner was visibly upset and told him to wait outside.

The customer after 30 minutes, sent a raging message, ‘Why the **** is my food taking so long to arrive?’

He panicked and asked the owner about the order, he got yelled, ‘’Not ready! Grab drivers outside!”

The customer at the same time threatened to give him a low rating.

Once prepared, he rushed to the customer. The customer called him, “You jangan kurang ajar” as he tried to explain what had happened.

The enraged customer then took the food but threw the hot soup at the tired father, she claimed.

Before the medical graduate ended her post, she added that this was a daily occurrence for the food delivery riders, “They wait for hours, risk their lives on the road to deliver food – only to be treated with disrespect, emotional abuse, an endless string of insults.”
