Education has always been an important part of a child’s life. Parents would send their children to pre-school for them to start learning at a young age. Many of us pursue a higher level of education after our SPM examination in order to master a specific field. This would enable us to get a job in the relevant industry.

When we go to school, college or university, we are gaining knowledge about the skills of a certain subject. We learn through textbooks, our teachers, discussions and even story-telling. Through education, we get to improve our knowledge and the quality of life. It is through knowledge that scientists and manufacturers are able to gain scientific breakthroughs with experiments and also invent something that would be beneficial to mankind.

In order to become a developed nation, the people would have to study and equip themselves with the latest knowledge on current technology and trends. This would allow us to be able to compete in the global market. We need to learn valuable skills to survive in this highly globalised world where science, artificial intelligence and technology are developing rapidly.

As such, every child is entitled to education and no child should be deprived of it. Children who attend school and do well in their studies have a higher chance of earning a decent income when they become grownups. They would be able to secure jobs due to their talent and knowledge and this would also greatly reduce the financial burden of their parents as they would be able to shoulder that household burden.
