Aeon and MCMC to assist micro entrepreneurs
Aeon Co (M) Bhd and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) are collaborating to assist 100 micro entrepreneurs under the Pupuk@Aeon 2021 program which is to cover the entire country.
The program, which will run until the end of the year, is free of charge and open to all micro enterprises. It is open to anyone that is passionate about business and has the drive to succeed. Although initially catering to 100 micro enterprises the program is to be extended to attract more participants.
Under the program, Aeon will assist micro entrepreneurs to obtain the requisite certifications. Aeon will also provide both the online and offline platforms needed for the micro entrepreneurs to sell their products.
Aeon has over fifty stores to market their products and they have an online platform for the micro entrepreneurs to leverage. Besides this, Aeon will also provide logistics support for the micro entrepreneurs.
There is no need for these micro entrepreneurs to deliver to all of Aeon’s 55 locations. All they need to do is to send their products to one location and Aeon will then help them distribute to the whole of Malaysia.
The assistance given to the companies is worth approximately RM50,000 per entrepreneur.
