Eric Moo Establishes Music Production Company To Kickstart Daughter’s Career
Malaysian singer Eric Moo has founded a music production company headquartered in Shanghai to train aspiring talents, one of whom will be his 21-year-old daughter Yonghuan that’s set to release an EP and music video coming out next month.According to a report by Lianhe Zaobao, the 58-year-old invested an estimated $480,000 in the new venture.
“As a father, I have to put in my best effort.” commented the veteran entertainer who encouraged Yonghuan to work on her music and look to his contacts in the music industry to help her kickstart her debut.
Though the doting father is steadfast in making sure his ‘little girl’ gets every chance to live her dreams, he made it clear that he didn’t just set up the production company as a stepping stone for his daughter’s career, stating that “China has so many talented people, so I hope to discover them through my company and shine the spotlight on them.”
Moo and his family, including wife former Taiwanese model Peng Meijun and younger daughter, are currently in quarantine in Shanghai, while Yonghuan is currently taking a break from her studies at the acclaimed Berklee College of Music in the U.S and is in Shanghai preparing for her debut.
