MyAssist MSME for all SME needs
Under the National Economic Recovery Plan (PENJANA), Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has launched the MyAssist MSME Portal which is a one-stop centre and new norm solution for business facilitation needs of the small and medium sized enterprises or SMEs.
The portal provides a platform for SMEs to seek business advisory and information, guidance and digital marketing opportunities. This platform will assist SMEs to solve their business-related problems and issues in the new norm.
The idea of empowering local SMEs to face current challenges through the MyAssist MSME Portal is long overdue as many businesses and companies in this category are struggling to operate or have folded.
The portal was developed during the Covid-19 pandemic because society has been forced to adopt the use of digital applications in many aspects of daily life and this has led to an increase in the use of information technology.
Muhyiddin stated that SME entrepreneurs need to reform and embrace the idea of digitisation in order to be able to compete and increase their efficiency in business.
In this direction, the government is going to improve the digital network in the country through the implementation of the national digital infrastructure plan or Jalinan Digital Negara (JENDELA) which would be the country’s digital communication improvement platform in the 12th Malaysia plan from 2021 to 2025.
