Scarlett Johansson Has Plans To Launch Skincare Line Next Year
Scarlett Johansson has just announced her plans to launch her own line of skincare in partnership with entrepreneur and beauty/fashion executive Kate Foster with plans to make its way into the market sometime in early 2022.
The full funding was provided by The Najafi Companies, an entrepreneurially driven private investment firm which has backed brands including Tracee Ellis Ross’ Pattern Beauty, Beach House Group, Moon Oral Care, and more.
The Black Widow star will serve as the Founder and Chairman to the yet unnnamed company, with Foster as Co-Founder and CEO. The business will receive full funding from entrepreneurially driven private investment firm, The Najafi Companies, which has brands including Tracee Ellis Ross’ Pattern Beauty, Beach House Group and Moon Oral Care just to name a few under their belt.
“I’ve been fascinated by the transformative power of beauty since I was a child. My mother instilled in me a passion for self-care from my early teenage years. Several years ago, I took a step back from my beauty deals with the goal of creating something true to me. The result is a clean, accessible approach to beauty,” said Johansson in a press release.
Though this isn’t the first time the two-time Academy Award nominee has dipped her toes into the beauty industry—shining for several luxury beauty brand ambassadorships as the face of Dolce & Gabbana and L’Oréal Paris—, this entry will mark Johansson as the latest in an extensive line of beauty lines founded by celebrities.
