After a month-long social media hiatus following accusations of her participating in online bullying towards reality star and model Courtney Stoudden, Chrissy Teigen has made her return with a lengthy post in which she further apologised for her cyberbullying ways saying : “I was a troll, full stop, and I am so sorry.”

“Not a day, not a single moment has passed where I haven’t felt the crushing weight of regret for the things I’ve said in the past,” wrote the model and TV presenter in a Medium post on June 14th. “I’ve apologized publicly to one person, but there are others — and more than just a few — who I need to say I’m sorry to. I’m in the process of privately reaching out to the people I insulted.”

Teigen initially posted a series of tweets in May apologizing to the 26-year-old Stoudden who accused Teigen of bullying her online, who was 16 at the time and married to 50-year-old actor Doug Hutchinson. She told the Daily Beast in an interview that Teigen had sent hateful messages to her, one of which said “I can’t wait for you to die.”

“I took to Twitter to try to gain attention and show off what I at the time believed was a crude, clever, harmless quip. I thought it made me cool and relatable if I poked fun at celebrities,” Teigen goes on to say. “In reality, I was insecure, immature and in a world where I thought I needed to impress strangers to be accepted.”

On Monday, fashion designer Michael Costello came forward with his own experience of cyberbullying at the hands of Teigen via his Instagram, detailing how despite the many years it’s been since the incident,  he is “still traumatized, depressed and have thoughts of suicide.”

The designer states that the harassment started in 2014 after Teigen left a comment on his Instagram, accusing Costello of “being a racist” after Teigen “formed her own opinion” based on a fake Photoshopped comment left on his Instagram by a “former disgruntled employee” to publicly embarrass him.

After reaching out to her to explain the truth of the matter, Teigen responded by saying that Costello’s “career was over and that all my doors will be shut from now on,” and that both Teigen and stylist Monica Rose went “out of their way to threaten people and brands that if they were in any shape or form associated with me, they would not work with any of them.”

“So many nights I stayed awake, wanting to kill myself. I didn’t see the point of living,” wrote Costello. “There was no way I can ever escape from being the target of the powerful elites in Hollywood, who actually do have powers to close doors with a single text.”

“As a result of what Chrissy Teigen did to me in 2014, I am not okay. I may never be okay, but today, I am choosing to speak my truth.”

The designer also shared alleged DM screenshots of his conversations with Teigen where she can be seen saying things such as “Racist people like you deserve to suffer and die. You might as well be dead. Your career is over, just watch.”
